I’m old enough to remember how Germany’s Hitler eliminated his detractors and took over the Nazi party. I’ve read how other authoritarian dictators went so far as to murder those who opposed them. We had better be vigilant! There is strong evidence to support this old blind man’s opinion.
Testimony during the impeachment in the people’s House, then the sham trial in the Senate. The president’s defense lawyers never contested the executive’s alleged criminal acts but put forth arguments that were totally opposite from their prior rhetoric, and Pat Cipollone may have run afoul of ethics rules that prohibit a lawyer from handling matters in which they may be called as a witness. Then acquittal in spite of conclusive, corroborating evidence proving guilt. Now, vengeance from the executioner in chief, who, since his acquittal by the partisan Senate, seems to confidently accelerate the previously slow-creep used to attain absolute power for himself.
It’s a sad day when a man like Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a decorated combat officer, who found it his duty to testify truthfully in the impeachment investigation, is fired and publicly escorted from the White House. Following that incident, the expulsion of his twin brother, also a decorated combat lieutenant colonel, in spite of having nothing to do with the impeachment, is outrageous. The impeached president is recommending punishment by the military of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, claiming with no proof he lied in his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee.
This is a shameful act by the executive who managed to dodge the military draft.
How can we not admire the courage, the patriotism, and the sense of duty and honor exhibited by these brave, decorated army officers. Gen. Kelly, former chief of staff for the president, stated that the lieutenant colonel did just what the military taught him to do.
Four prosecutors who recommended a sentence based on federal sentencing guidelines, in the trial of convicted Roger Stone, resigned their roles as prosecutors because the vengeful president thought the sentence was too harsh and interfered in the prosecution.
Prosecutor Jessie Liu from the Washington, D.C., U.S. Attorney’s Office, supervised the Stone trial. She was removed and nominated to a deputy position in the Treasury Department, but her nomination was pulled just three days before her confirmation hearings in the Senate when the president learned that she had investigated the alleged wrongdoings of then acting FBI director, Andrew McCabe, and found no reason to prosecute him.
Not surprisingly, AG Barr, who apparently considers himself the president’s personal attorney instead of the people’s attorney, is removing federal attorneys who are not considered friendly to the executive, in spite of them having faithfully performed their constitutional duty to act as prosecutors for the people — not the executive.
Consider the president’s stated love for the North Korean butcher who oppresses his people and even murdered his own brother to gain power.
Consider his apparent efforts to gain favor from the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, who has no problem at all murdering or jailing anyone who opposes him.
Consider the executive’s relationship and admiration for the Saudi prince, who according to U.S. Intelligence sources had an American, a Washington Post columnist of Mideastern descent, murdered and dismembered because of the man’s criticisms of the prince.
Consider how the executive has publicly treated the leaders of our NATO allies — how he publicly ridicules their actions.
Consider what could happen if the president is re-elected and manages, with the help and interference in our election by his friendly foreign users of his extreme desire for power, to overthrow our system of governance. That’s not far-fetched.
How many more patriots who believe in the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law will be ruined by the madman in the Office of the President of the United States of America? Join me in congratulating those who had the “cojones” to contradict the boss, and walk away with their honor and integrity intact.
Let’s all resolve to use the only means left to remove the executive from the White House, by voting him out in November! Good people — Republicans, Democrats, and others — seek the office. We don’t need more of this threat to a free world.
